We are getting ready for a fantastic season for the Tavistock Tsunamis! Please see the following reminders and announcements for the 2024 season!

• Registration opens April 1st for returning Tsunamis and Tavistock residents.  If there is room, we will open to new non-residents on May 1st. Please note that last year we were unable to take any new non-resident swimmers as we hit our headcount cap before May 1st.
• On that note, please really consider your child's commitment to the team when registering this season. We had 14 kids on the wait list last year that didn't get on the team. If your child is lukewarm about the team or doesn't want to participate in meets (I don't mean little ones that are just not ready), maybe consider holding off on registering until we see if there are spots available. While I'd hate to see a Tsunami not return, if they have other commitments and interests, we would really like to give the opportunity to a child that wants to fully participate this season.
• We are a volunteer-driven team! We are looking for a Concessions Assistant this year who is willing to learn the ropes and take on the lead for this position in 2025.
• Interviews for junior coaches will take place in early May. Swimmers 14 and older or that are rising 9th graders are eligible to be junior coaches. Again, please consider vacations and the commitment involved in this position. Junior coaches need to be available for the majority of the season to be role models for our younger swimmers.
