The Lovettsville Dolphins are looking forward to hosting Divisionals in Lovettsville this Saturday July 20^th. The Dolphins spirit the for the Divisional Meet is LUAU. Please join us in aloha shirts, grass skirts or any other fun Island themed garb.

Schedule:

Location: This is a home meet for us at the Lovettsville Community Center Pool, located at 57 East Broad Way, Lovettsville.

Parking: The loop in front of the community center will be used as a pull through for dropping off swimmers and equipment. Swimmer and spectator seating will be in the lower gravel parking lot. There will be Parking Directors to help you.

Six parking spaces will be available in the paved lot for your Team Rep, three coaches, and two for an equipment manager / tent transporter (or whoever you want). Please tell the Parking Official that you are a coach.

All other parking is at the “Dog Park” parking lot within the Community Center. The address is 12565 Milltown Road, and despite the directions Google will probably provide, it is easiest to make a left out of the aquatics center, drive approximately 1000 ft. and turn right into the park. On the Right past the equine center will be a gravel road to the Dog Park parking lot. A paved path back to the Aquatics Center is at the east side of the parking lot. Aquatics is about 100 yards down the path.

We will have “Event Parking” signs and arrows to direct you both to the parking lots and walking path.

We have coordinated with PRCS to open the gate at 6:00 am as it is meant to be open at “sunrise”.

We will have parking officials in the aquatics lot to assist you.

Restrooms: Restrooms are located in the Men’s and Women’s pass through into the aquatics center.

Concessions: The Dolphins are proud to welcome back Catoctin Coffee and Gringo Gordo Empanadas this year. We will have Sausage Egg and Cheese, Caprese, Pepperoni, and Apple empanadas available for this meet! We will also have the usual swim meet snacks, candy and Gatorade and water! Our awesome concessions center accepts cash but prefers credit card or apple pay.

Team and Spectator seating: As stated above, seating will be in the gravel parking lot. Please bring ez-ups or other sun shading along with chairs to sit in. Each team will have an area marked out for seating and set up. Families will be asked to pull or carry tents from the pull through area. If you can coordinate to get all tents in a mini-van or SUV they should be able to pull down to the gravel for unloading.

Our pool deck has a rather small capacity, and the lifeguards will stop the meet if we exceed it. Please only enter the pool deck when your swimmer is lined up and exit the pool deck after they swim. All spectators will stand on the left side (toward the rock wall) of the pool as officials will be busy on the right side. 

The Tsunamis are excited to host the Eeliminators during our upcoming meet on Saturday, July 13th. Please find the meet information below. Feel free to share with your team in advance and/or direct any questions to us.

Parking Details: Our parking is limited, if the lot at the pool is full, you may park along Macalister, Santmyer and Tavistock. Please avoid parking in front of houses and there is NO PARKING in the townhome area.

Concessions: We do a sign-up genius pre-order for guaranteed hot food (Chick-fil-a and Anita's). We will have additional hot food, but it will be more limited and first come, first serve. Team Area: The Team Area is located to the right as you walk in the side gate of the pool or locker rooms, next to the concessions. Please feel free to bring canopies for extra shade, there is limited space for additional chairs. We respectfully request that you make sure the area is clean and free of trash before leaving and not move the deck chairs around.

Spectators: Spectators may watch the meet from the pool deck. Please avoid having parents in the swimmer line-up area. We line up both teams together on the benches to the left of the entrance.

Timeline:

• Our Pool Deck will Open to everyone at 7:00am
• Warm-ups for Tsunamis will be 7:15-7:35am
• Warm-ups for the Eeliminators will be 7:35-7:55am
• The National Anthem will be played at 7:55am. Please select 3 swimmers to swim the flags across the pool while the Anthem is played.
• The Meet will start promptly at 8:00am

Timers: We have a 6 lane pool, please plan to bring 9 timers with you. We will hold a timers briefing at 7:40am near the baby pool. We will review timing procedures, assignments & stopwatch operations.

Officials: The Stroke and Turn officials should also report to the Referee at 7:40am near the computer operator table for a Meet Officials Briefing and to discuss the rotation of Stroke & Turn officials. Please plan to bring 2 Stroke & Turn officials and come ready to officiate dressed in blue shorts and collared white shirt.

Parking Details:
There are several parking spots in the pool parking lot. Cars are allowed to park on the shoulders of the roads, but we ask you communicate to your families that they need to pull their car fully onto the shoulder of the road, observe no parking signs, and lastly please don’t park near the intersections as it makes it difficult for residents to see oncoming traffic. Please ask families to obey speed limit /stop signs in the neighborhood

Entrance instructions: Will be outside of the pool area either in the grass near the emergency entrance or in a roped off area in the handicap parking spots. You will be directed to the area as you arrive. Please have your parents and children bring chairs to sit on. Please check in with Brooke Waldron when you arrive so that she can direct you.

Theme: Details to be provided closer to the meet.

Warmups: Your team will have the pool for a 20-minute warm up from 5:35-5:55pm. Shortly thereafter we will play the National Anthem. Please select 3 swimmers to swim the flags across the pool while the Anthem is played.
***The Meet will start promptly at 6:00pm.
**Official briefings will occur at 5:30pm. Immediately followed by Timer Briefings at 5:40pm.

Parent Viewing Area: The Martin's Chase parent viewing area will be near the shallow area & beside the baby pool. Please ask your families to bring chairs. We will put out what we have but I am sure there are not sufficient chairs to accommodate all. We ask that all parents in this area help keep children out of the shallow area of the pool as we do not have guards on the stand.

Concessions: We will have concessions located inside the pool area near the main entrance. We will have Chick-fil-A sandwiches, pizza, and other snacks for purchase. We will sell granola bars, candy, and other regular assorted concessions items. We will also have coffee, soda, Gatorade, water, etc.… for purchase. We take cash and cards.
